In memoriam
Bernhard Mollenhauer
It is with sadness and gratitude that I pay my last respects to my former company director
Bernhard Mollenhauer
who passed away on 21 March 2026 at the age of 82.
Bernhard Mollenhauer was more than just a boss to me.
I owe him a great debt of gratitude for the inspiration, support and creative freedom he gave me during the time
I was employed at Conrad Mollenhauer.
Without him, I would not be where I am today as a recorder maker – I am deeply indebted to him.
Even after I had left the company and set up my own workshop, he always remained
connected to me with interest and friendship.
It is not only myself who should be grateful to him – his great dedication to
this wonderful profession of recorder-making will never be forgotten.
Last but not least, we owe him the opportunity to now take the master craftsman’s examination in this
trade as recorder makers – I was among the first to be granted this opportunity thanks to his efforts.
Dear Bernhard Mollenhauer – I bow to you in gratitude!
